Ricky (Creature 1/Guide 2) – A talking dog. He became quite intelligent one day at the shelter, and before long he was taken home by some strange old man, for his daughter. Odin named him Richard and told him a lot about mythology, Fate and death, so that his daughter would have someone she might listen to.
Ashley's Eyepatch (Relic 2) [Magic, Mystery] – Dad has a sense of humor, apparently. Or he wanted to teach her a lesson. When Ashley wears the eyepatch, she is given some of Odin's sight without having to make such a permanent loss as he did.
Walking Stick (Relic 1) [Psychopomp] – Have stick, will travel. Ricky says that he thinks that the stick got its shape when Sleipnir was tied to a post and tried to get away. Ashley says that's bullshit. Dad probably just kicked some dwarf into whittling her a stick.
Odin's Necktie (Relic 1) [Death] – This is a perfectly normal necktie, printed with a rope pattern. When worn, it looks not a little reminiscent of a noose.

Background: Ashley's whole life has been dedicated to finding people, ever since she lost her dog at the age of five. Cute little Ashley cried her eyes out then went out to find the dog. Nobody knew where she was for over twenty-four hours, then girl and dog reappeared, unharmed save prodigious hungers. Ashley never did anything quite that stupid again, but she went on to become first a lifeguard, then a park ranger, then an agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She made it her mission to find people and return them to their rightful places.
She found her heritage quite literally. A young boy had gone missing after a blow-up in school. There were warnings of suicidal tendencies. He had to be found soon or the worst could happen. Ashley found him a few hours after the report came in. The boy had worked faster than the people searching for him, and he had hung himself from a tree. With him was an old man with one eye who told Ashley the most stupid fantasy she had ever heard. Titans? And gods? And she was his daughter, this crazy old man who said he was Odin? She would have shot him, except somehow she knew that it wasn't him who kidnapped and killed the boy. So she waited for her colleagues to arrive and help her deliver the boy's corpse to his family.
When Ashley arrived home, she found, of all things, a dog. A talking dog no less. Attached to the dog's collar was an eye patch with a note that told her to wear it when she wanted to see things in perspective. The dog informed her that he had been sent by her father to guide her through her new life. The fact that she was having a conversation with a talking dog was what got Ashley to accept that the old man wasn't crazy. At worst, it was she who was crazy, probably broken by the stress of the job and never to become sane again. At best, she had discovered her true purpose in life. So she accepted her father's mission.
Description: Ashley can come off as a bit severe. Some people might even call her a tight-ass. She holds herself rigidly upright when work needs to be done, and holds everyone else to the same high standard, much to the irritation of nearly everybody else. Her hair is cut short and neat. Her clothes, no matter what she wears, are always selected for maximal effectiveness in the field while still giving off the appearance of a professional.
As she grows in power, I'm thinking of having this demeanor strengthen as well, to the point where it's just a little off-putting, especially so when she starts getting and using more Epic Charisma and Epic Manipulation.
Personality: Fact is, Ashley's demeanor is mostly a side-effect of the job. She has discovered that fewer people get lost and die when she is at optimal effectiveness, so she strives for that at all times, even in private to an extent (though she has had some amazing drunken parties with Ricky telling stories). Ashley isn't as no-nonsense these days, though. Before she met her real father, she was down-to-earth in all things. What mattered was the here and now and the real world. This whole Scion thing has loosened her up a little, though she maintains that she's more effective when she's acting professional.
She is a bit of a White Hat, to tell the truth. She also has no Death, in spite of being ostensibly Deathy. This is because, even with her dad's necktie, she hasn't really accepted that people dying is part of his gifts to her. Over time, she'll learn that she can't be such a big damn hero, and come into her role as a shepherd for the dead.
