Bludhaven's University of Hashshashin

History

The equivalent of this school in Earth-82004 would probably be Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. However, instead of preaching tolerance, the mysterious leader of this school teaches the students to become powerful assassins. The students learn to become valued in a world of organized crime, and to enforce the laws of the strongest (at the time, they followed Owlman from Gotham City).

Xavier's school was founded on thoughts of tolerance, equality, and intellectual, scientific thinking. It is quite the opposite for Bludhaven's University. It was founded on the ideals of the mystic and medieval Hashshashin group. They based their ideas on Greek philosophy, mysticism, and an end to perceived corruption and greed. The empire's goal was to bring scientific and social breakthroughs to all its peoples, including religious freedom. Not merely content to survive, but instead determined to build a new utopia, the Hanashashin formulated a strategy of gaining control of strategically important cities by covertly converting local inhabitants into students of their regime. The formal origin of the Federation of the Assassins is marked as 1090. Unable to mount a conventional military army, the Hashshashin developed a form of asymmetric warfare transforming the act of political assassination into a system of survival and defense against greed, corruption, injustice and foreign domination. They trained highly capable sleeper commandos known as Fedayeen, who would covertly infiltrate enemy positions and remain undercover.

Students are immediately thrown into battle once recruited to the school. Experience is the only true school, after all.

The group benefit greatly from state-of-the-art technology. For example, Xavier is depicted tracking down mutants with a device called Cerebro; the group train within the Safe Room, first depicted as a room full of weapons and booby traps, now as generating holographic simulations; and the group travel in their Whitebird jet.

Paraphernalia

Equipment: Safe Room, Cerebro, Cerebra, Image Inducer Cyber-glasses. Although most X-Men choose to individualize their costumes, standard blue and gold uniforms are available. All X-men carry a X-communicator.

Transportation: Whitebird; the original is still in use and Builder has constructed additional models for each team. An earlier version was the X-Men Stratojet and before that the X-Copter.

Weapons: An entire under level of the school is devoted to weaponry.
