History

In years past Sargent Mahora was one of the lead test pilots for most of the military's new toys. Anything from Experimental Jet Fighters, to new Tanks, and more recently after a recent exploration into Walkers and Powered Suits, the Experimental Extreme Condition Suits built to withstand and function in harsh environments akin to the icy hell that is the north and south pole and even the water's below them. There were many times when he and his team of testers almost met their fate... But it's as if it was death's day off on those days. Forcing them to survive and live with their injuries and lives. And all be it by mistake... They were shipped off to a escalating problem in south Africa. Officially it was just live fire training on the books. Unofficially they were about to become killers for the military against their will. The situation in Africa was harsh... Gorilla factions that had formed after the collapse of one of the countries became over run and conquered by a neighboring country had taken hostages and set themselves up in a gold and ore mine that supplied the united states with it's gold and other precious metal supply. Right from the start the mission went fubar as their transport was shot down in route to a training sight. Originally they had thought it was just another live fire test. They had all done them, go to a sight that was clear of life and test the weapons and see how the thing they were testing held up... Unfortunately for them they crashed right in the middle of the compound and the United States couldn't officially say they were there given the project was still labeled top secret. during the event, the mission only went deeper south as they were forced to fight and kill just to escape with their lives. Only to be contacted by command and told to go back in to rescue hostages. The mission ended poorly for them. Out of 23 men that went into the engagement armed with the armored suits, only 18 left with their lives. Most met a strange end in the mine shafts from various causes. But after seeing how things worked out, the military shifted them from test group to combat group, much to their protest. Several missions later though... It became a way of life. And after being exposed to various hot zones they were tested again... This time with military medicine. The mission was a success... But their bodies payed for it. The men were hospitalized for several months while doctors attempted to keep them stable and figure out what was going wrong. Half the team died of starvation and dehydration in the first 10 minutes. After a treatment was found that was able to stabilize them, they were sent back into service all be it light.... Their current deployment was at a national guard base in new york, With medical orders to stay calm. And given the pills had a slight anger issue, A more direct approach was taken. Aggression Inhibitors were attached to them. to insure their aggression levels could not exceed a certain level.

Armor: the extreme conditions exo skelital suit is roughly 2.5 times the size of a average and weighs in at 25 tons. the armor itself is a new experimental design relying on "Summoning". pilots of the suits are equipped with a spinal tapped interface module that runs along the spine and has a main port at the back of the neck. tapping the back of the neck three times summons the armor. how the armor itself flies around the pilot is classified. the suit in question is just one of the prototypes. plans are in for making a somewhat smaller version of the armor to be more versatile. the armor itself was built to go against armored vehicles, units, and structures as well survive in various environments. it is able to survive temperatures well below zero and well above 100 degrees. the suit is able to survive periods of time underwater and even in space, however time in each environment is limited due to a limited air supply.

Weight in armor: broadside weighs in at 25 tons. making it difficult to stand on weak ground or go where others think is trival. also due to the weight, broadside sinks like a rock in water.

JetPack: The Broadside armor is equipped with a intricate jetpack system allowing it to take flight. the main pack does most of the work and is located between the shoulders. it produces enough lift to allow the broadside unit to hover over the ground and "fly". it's true flight capabilities are limited but it is enough to allow the behemoth to get truly airborne. remarkable flight

4 eyes: the broadside unit actually has 4 "eyes". the bottom two are a combination of thermal and night vision, while the top two are reserved for standard visual and targeting. the spinal link network relays all information to the pilot as if he/she were seeing it themselves. no penalty at night

Vaccine: the expermental vaccine issued to the unit gives the unit a staggering resistance and imunity to biological warfare as well as viral warfare. the vaccine was created to combat the threats of bio terrorism as well viral terrorism. it has resistances and imunites from everything to antrhax to toxins and poisons found in africa. incredible resistance and immunity to toxins and poisons.

Metabolism:as a direct result of the vaccine the squad's metabolism is drasticaly higher than the normal person. it is so high it is enough to allow them to starve to death in a matter of a single hour unless they take specal medicen to keep their metabolism under controll. the excess energy produced by their body is filtered into the aggression inhibitors and used to "charge" their batteries so to speak. eating food allows broadside to regain health. this is the only method to regain health for broadside.

Chainsaw: broadside's "primary" weapon is a to scale, mounted, retractable chainsaw built for anti armor purposes. it's enough to tear into tank armor and even blast door armor like it was a regular chainsaw cutting into a tree. it's blades are made from Secondary adamantium, while the chain itself is made from tunxton. testing of the chainsaw found it rather adept at it's job. however the process was still rather expensive and plans for the production model are noted to having cut Secondary adamantium from the blade's and use tunxton instead to cut back on cost. the length of the chainsaw is roughly 5ft long. Incredible damage, cuts through monsterous meterail, cuts into awesome, damages unearthly

Triple bore 20mm machine gun: mounted on the right shoulder is a triple bore 20mm machine gun which has been modified to fire specially designed paint ball rounds as well as lethal rounds. it does have a tendency to overheat however and all other functions save for 3 round burst have been removed. typical blunt (paintball ronds) remarkable energy (actual bullets)

Standard issue pistol: when out of the armor the Sargent is armed with a single standard issue pistol firing 45calibure rounds. good energy damage

Inhibitor: the inhibitor's main function is to keep the aggression of the unit under control and always actively modifies their aggression level. however during times of intense stress, the aggression inhibitor can't keep up with the aggression levels and uses a debilitating electrical discharge to pacafie the unit. if the inhibitor is switched off, the unit goes into a burserking frenzy due to a sudden overload of aggression that hits them like a tilde wave. the inhibitor also acts as a main port for the spinal tapped ports that have been biowealded to the troopers spinal cords. this allows for a medical team to "plug in" a data cord and get a diagnostic of the person's current health. this also means the Sargent is much more suseptable to "electronic" based attacks from cyberpaths.

Lifting Potential: objects under amazing weight(50tons) are subject to be lifted. objects under Spectacular(25 tons) weight are subject to be thrown or carried.
