Regions
The Capital City is composed of 4 unofficial regions, denoted by various aspects of thier human geography.
The Docks
The Docks, also known as Vernon Shores or The Ghetto, are the poorest parts of the capital. They run along the entire eastern face of the island. This region could be said to be the hub of the nation's industry; it boasts a shipyard, three apparel factories, a Quiz Bowl buzzer manufacturing plant, and the Guild of Trinket Craftsmen. The most prevailant economic activity in this zone is warehousing and storage. Most inhabitants of the Vernon slums commute to other parts of the city to work at unskilled and/or menial jobs.
The urban topography of this region differs from that of the city as a whole only in general upkeep and the presence of factories/warehouses along the waterfront.
The Center
The Center is the business/tourist hub of the Capital City. The center of the Center is east of the geographic center of the island. The Center is also home to the city government and some offices of the national government.
