These are classes whose primary role is to use supernatural powers for a variety or purposes--generally while staying out of direct combat--and classes who, while they can do other things, have a broad enough array of such powers to fill that role. This is a diverse category, including wielders of arcane and divine magic, psionic powers, and other things. Many of them (wielders of arcane magic, especially) are fragile non-combatants who can't wear armor without disrupting their powers, but others are much sturdier.
