Creation Et All/Great Prophecy

In the First Age the Sidereal Exalted watched their masters, the Solar Exalted, sink into depravity which lead them to hold a convention so they could seek the counsel of their peers. Consulting the Loom of Fate they saw three possible courses for the future of Creation. In the first of these paths, they took no action and the result was a total corruption and collapse of the entire world. In the second of these paths, they attempted to reason with an restore sanity to the Solar Exalted; but this path had two branches - one lead to salvation of all while the other lead to a world of darkness and misery - hinging upon their success or failure in the attempt. In the third path, they guided the the Dragon-Blooded in an uprising against the Solars, helping them seize power and wipe out the greatest of the Exalted; this course of action would preserve the world, only in a diminished form.

It was this third option that was decided upon.
