Daedelos

Daedelos was a merkune, a vulture-like humanoid of extraplanar origin. The merkune know not their homeland, victims of an ancient diaspora millennia ago, and they have developed a reputation as shrewd traders and worldly travelers. Daedelos was no exception. He was captain of the planar vessel Invisible Hand, which he used to transport his primary merchandise: magical items. His business methods are ruthless yet mercilessly scrupulous.

Daedelos and his cadre of yugoloth employees encountered Ghaleon Ebonheart, Malcolm, and Soirse when the travelers stumbled across his ship and crew in the midst of excavating a cache of magical items in the ruins of Fort Umber. The adventurers found some of these themselves, to varying results. Before their meeting, Malcolm put on an exquisite medallion bearing a carving of a lion to see if he could discern its nature. Upon wearing the amulet, he was magically transformed into a lion with no discernable way to return to his previous form. Ghaleon used this as a tool to trick Daedelos into granting him and his compaions passage. Malcolm in lion form was exchanged for the trip, but when they arrived at their destination, Mloclam the Mad cast a spell to suppress the effect of the amulet long enough for Malcolm to remove it. The adventurers then fled the Invisible Hand before Daedelos discovered their ploy.

Daedelos was last seen transporting Ceralin de Roisin, Oleron Lethos, Aldaren Sterenfeuer, Felix Zephyr, and Cyrus to the Elemental Chaos in exchange for the shell of the elusive and dangerous drakesnail. A mysterious hooded figure accompanied them on the Invisible Hand, but his intentions remain unknown.
