Homework assignment for Tuesday, July 8

For tomorrow, I'd like you to finish today's class wiki assignment.

Each student’s personal page should contain:

a) Some information about yourself

b) A picture

c) An external link to a webpage (can be a Youtube video, etc)

d) An internal link to a new page that you will create. This new page should explain (very briefly—one or two sentences and a link to outside webpages that give further information) something you’ve learned so far in the class. You can choose from: Wikis, Google Earth, Google Maps, Google Docs, Web Evaluation (i.e., what standards to use when considering Internet content), Podcasts, RSS feeds, Quizlet.com, Lii.org. Eventually we’ll consolidate these pages.

I've created an example; you can look at the content and also see how it was created by viewing it in editing mode. Note that, when creating a new page or creating an internal link to an already-existing page, your link name can be different from the page name. You do this by using the | key (under the backspace key) to separate the two names: Page Name|link name. This will be enclosed by double brackets. See the editing view of my pages for more examples.
