Indie Room Origins

The origins of the indie room are lost in time. Historians attribute this to two main forces: laziness and the absence of chat logs in the slsk client. Memories are short and unlogged verbal traditions can be fleeting, when few are chosen and only the strongest memes survive. I like to think that It's About Progress knew the true history of the indie room and took that story to her grave.

Fucking Fascist!! will tell you that the Nazi Spammer claims to have created the room, and that his crapfloods are some kind of futile effort to reclaim his territory. Although the Nazi Spammer himself claims to have created the room, this is probably not true.

Hindu indies will tell you that the room is uncreated, or was self-creating, or has always existed and will always exist, and that all of reality is but the dream of a sleeping god and that soon he will awaken. Only Oilpan is fit to pass judgement on these imponderables, and He has been taken up and isn't saying. Loss Leader misses Oilpan a little more every day.
