Infirious-X

History

In the 1900's, a series of murders hit the streets of New York, New York. These heinous crimes were hidden from the majority of the population. This was due to the brutality of some of the crimes. It was odd, authorities didn't believe that these crimes were connected. Some crimes, namely those committed against men known for their brutality and their involvement in the criminal underworld, were brutal beyond belief. Authorities said that it was almost as though the men had been beaten to death in some circumstances. However, there were occasional female victims who seemed to have died in peace. Detectives believed that the women might be being killed by a man of the night who had a taste for the romantic, and the men they believed were being killed by rival gangs and the like who held a great hatred for the victims, and so could bring themselves to do such gruesome things. After many of these unsolved crimes, the authorities finally found a clue, though they didn't realize it. Amongst the bodies of the brutalized victims, they found the body of a young man who had been shot a total of 23 times. The police were baffled as to how a man could have been shot so many times, especially when the other men in the room were dead. Upon taking the body to the morgue at the police station, they found no identification, and so declared the man John Doe. Before an autopsy could be done, the unthinkable happened. The entire Police Department was destroyed. The morning after the discovery found the department burned to the ground, the bodies of the police within. No one could figure out how an entire department could be wiped out as such without anyone seeing a mob of gangsters or an army of some sort. The crime remains unsolved. After that, the murders stopped... at least, in New York.

Infirious was the man responsible for the crimes, and he kept the name given to him by the Police of the early 1900's. John Doe. Born in the early stages of the mutant outbreak, he didn't learn of what he really was until he was almost 20. Living in the ancient ganglands of New York was dangerous. John had always known that he seemed to heal faster than most others, but it wasn't until he was caught in a drive-by shooting of a local store that he learned of his ability. John was a boy who had grown in many different foster homes. His foster parents had frequently changed his name to fit their need, so he was a man who didn't know what he should truly be called. The man took 15 bullets to the chest. He awoke in the morgue of a police station, his chest opened. Fueled by fear, he closed himself up and watched in awe as his skin healed itself in seconds. After that, John started his chain of serial murders, targeting the gangsters and ruffians who had changed his life forever. Slowly, John's mind began to be twisted, as many murderer's minds are. He came to the conclusion that humanity on the whole was evil, and that all authority was corrupt by principal. Some part of him decided that chaos and destruction were the only things that made sense, and that it was his duty to spread them throughout the world. However, recent emergence of other "beings" with incredible powers may have messed with his assessment of the world. Now he enjoys testing the abilities of others with powers by creating battles and starting wars.

Social Life

Infirious-X is something of a psychopath. Anyone he shows interest in for any extended period of time should watch their back. He may just be studying you before he kills you.

Hmm? Oh, right. Infirious enjoys sex as much as everyone else. He is attracted to strong, aggressive women, but is unlikely to be tied down into anything serious... unless its by force.

Powers

Infirious-X has uncharted regenerative abilities. Surpassing those of other healers like Wolverine or Deadpool, Infirious is able to heal from any wound or damage taken. He can reattach severed limbs, and even re-grow tissue that has been completely destroyed. His powers even work down to a cellular level, making poisonous venoms and toxins ineffective against him. So long as there is the smallest bit of him left, Inferious will regenerate fully. It is said that this power of his may mean that he is closer to being immortal than anyone else known. His regenerative abilities keep him in peak physical condition, and even give him enhanced speed and strength, though, when compared to some other cases, this enhancement is nothing to brag about. Another rather scary ability of Infirious' is his ability to spread a disease know only as Inferior-Cranial-Dystrophy (ICD) which can, in some cases cause a victim to loose their higher thought process and become a mindless, aggressive entity. The only way for Infirious to spread this disorder is through special glands in the back of his throat, which he can somewhat control. The disease is hard to transmit, as it must enter the bloodstream directly.
