Immortality Awakens (DM: Rystil Arden, Judge: Knight Otu)

Like Festival of Halina, this consists of 1200-odd posts that constitute the first part of a multipart adventure. Reading through the thread, one gets the impression that it is very vague with regard to location. However, there are more geographical details than there would seem at first glance.

We start at the house of Zarindas in Orussus, a man with a magically-ill daughter who needs saving:

• The inside of Zarindas�s house in Orussus looks nicer than the outside, and is decorated in a floral motif.
• Somewhere in EnWorld is a sealed land with a Sealed Cavern that contains an Orb that can cure the disease caused by a specific demon.
• The Sealed Cavern is "hundreds of miles to the southeast" of Orussus and can only be found with the aid of magic.
• The stairs to the second floor of Zarindas�s house in Orussus are narrow and creaky.
• The Sealed Cavern several hundred miles to the southeast of Orussus is in a desert.

And after all that, our intrepid party journeyed to the vicinity of a small town named Briaton, less than a week from Orussus.

• The town of Briarton lies perhaps 3 or 4 days south-southeast of Orussus at the confluence of two small streams, one to the north of the other.
• Half of Briarton has been razed within a year or two, mostly near the southern stream. By the northern stream, a town hall, a small temple, an inn, and a mill still stand. To the south, another temple and mill have been razed.
• Clover grows in the vicinity of Briarton.
• There is a small hill immediately to the east of Briarton
• There is a comfy sitting room in the town hall at Briarton
• Beyond the sitting room in the town hall in Briarton is the Mayor�s office, with a desk.
• There is a stable in Briarton.
• Roughly 2 days ride east of Briarton is an abandoned hobgoblin stronghold.
• The town hall in Briarton has spare rooms for nobility to stay in while visiting.
• 6 days southeast of Briarton lies a small town with an inn marked by a cornucopia. The town is near the Stonepike Mountains.

Obviously, there's more in the next part of the adventure, which is ongoing at the time of this writing.

Thurgan and Zarindas

The first of a couple of posts that were lost in the crash and had to be recreated.

This was a side adventure from Immortality Awakens. Thurgan met Zarindas, a citizen of Orussus, and then set off to meet up with the main party, who had previously left on a quest to save Zarindas's daughter from some kind of magical disease:

• A man named Zarindas lives in Orussus with his ailing daughter in a small, weathered house.
• Zarindas�s home has two floors, with at least one bedroom upstairs.
• There is a place in EnWorld called Briarton.
• Briarton is near a ruined tower where two wizards dabbled in chronomancy, blowing it up.

Thurgan and Krug

This was the second side adventure spun off from Immortality Awakens, about a pair of dwarves struggling to catch back up with the main party. They had some adventure along the way...

• "Two days out of Orussus" at dwarf speed on the southeast road (the road to Fallon) lies a small hill. Several hours northeast of that lies a cave.
• The "cave" 2-3 days out from Orussus to the southeast is an opening in the side of a hill. A tunnel leads inward, and curves after a distance.
• After the bend in the tunnel that forms a cave 2-3 days southeast of Orussus, the passage widens into a large spherical cavern.
• In the large spherical cavern in the cave 2-3 days southeast of Orussus lies an upper ledge that cannot be reached from the entrance.
• In the large spherical cavern in the cave 2-3 days southeast of Orussus there is a tunnel on the far wall from the entrance tunnel.
• Some distance down the tunnel opposite the entrance tunnel to the cavern in the cave 2-3 days southeast of Orussus is a disabled trap of dwarven make.
• Down the tunnel opposite the entrance tunnel to the cavern in the cave 2-3 days southeast of Orussus is a second chamber with a ruined workshop and forge. There is a stonework trigger in the room that once activated some kind of trap.
• A small tunnel in the back of the room with the ruined forge in the cave 2-3 days southeast of Orussus leads to a small room with a well, once used as a larder.

Mearran and Laynie

This was a brief spin-off from Immortality Awakens. It consisted mainly of a conversation over some food at Edwyd's Victuals, just down the street from the Red Dragon Inn, between a PC and an NPC.

Not surprisingly, the only location information in the thread dealt with Edwyd's Victuals.

• Edwyd�s Victuals in Orussus serves fresh apple, orange, and peach juice.
• A glass of juice at Edwyd�s victuals costs 1 silver piece.
