The city of Rheim lies south and east of Lathirn and south-west of the Bainlund Hills, on the southern side of the Rheius River, a tributary of the Grellgo. Some authorities insist that city is named after the river, but others argue that the proper spelling of the name is 'Riem'.

The city has a larger population than Orussus, but it is crowded within old 50 foot tall city walls. Buildings abut one another closely, with many narrow alleyways winding between. Newer buildings are often built directly atop older. Ladders on many buildings lead to raised walkways and rooftop paths.

Though Rheim perhaps does not have the evil reputation of Lathirn, slavery is condoned here.
