Our purpose

We want to make Longwood Administrators to clean up their act. As students we pay their salaries and they need to realize that they have to listen to us and address our concerns.

We will not take this site down until these concerns are addressed. If the administration refuses to do so, we will continue to appeal to the public, students, as well as those looking to apply to Longwood. Currently this campaign to spread the word about this site includes:

• Personally contacting current fellow Longwood students via email
• Outreach to potential Longwood applicants by advertising on all the major search engines.
• Outreach to current students through online advertising
• Encouraging site users to contact administrators through the positive change page.

What's the story behind this site?

In 2004, when I attended Longwood University, I was amazed by how incompetent and inconsiderate the Longwood administration were. But it was only after I transferred to another school that I could put my experience at Longwood in perspective. I realized that many schools don't treat their students like LU does. I've tried to voice my complaints with the Longwood administration for over a year and have gotten nowhere.

After talking with my 2 best friends at Longwood (one of whom also left), I realized I wasn't the only one who was disappointed in the school. In fact, 24% of Freshman don't return for a second year, and only 3 out of every 5 students graduate within 6 years ( Princeton Review). The campus quality of life is ranked poorly and 35% of the student body leaves town on the weekend (US News).

Frustrated that the administration doesn't seem to care about our horrible experiences there, we've started this site as a forum. Hopefully it will encourage those dissatisfied with Longwood to speak out. We really believe that, together, we can force positive change at Longwood and make it into a better school. --Sam Odio 09:26, 28 June 2006 (EDT)
