Guest: Sabah al-Mukhtar [1]

Here are today's lies, misstatements, disinformation, and stupidity:

(1) Daryl Bradford Smith doesn't think that it is unlikely that Michael Zebuhr was murdered for his "knowledge" about 9/11.

(3) Daryl Bradford Smith talks about the Estevez/Sheen family being Marrano Jews. He says that some people had e-mailed him to that extent. Then comes someone who e-mails Smith that Martin Sheen is Catholic. "You need to do your history reading," says Smith about Martin Sheen, calling him a Marrano. Sometime please tell this idiot that Marranos no longer exist. They are either openly practicing Judaism outside of Iberia or they became genuine Catholics long ago. Whether Martin Sheen's ancestors were Marranos, I frankly don't know, but at this point, does it really matter?

(4) Daryl Bradford Smith claims a steep yield curve is a harbinger of imminent financial collapse. Look for yourself [2]. Smith has it ass-backwards.

(5) Daryl Bradford Smith disagrees with an Arab about their culture. Amazing.

(6) Al-Mukhtar claims people are prosecuted for thinking. This is not true. As unfair as it may be, people are prosecuted for what they do or say. And for al-Mukhtar to say that this is worse than what goes on in Muslim countries when Afghanistan almost executed a man for converting to Christianity is ridiculous.

(7) Daryl Bradford Smith says The Benjamin Freedman Speech changed his life. He has yet to respond to the twenty-five lies found therein. Al-Mukhtar says that Smith will certainly entertain questions or comments, and Smith says he does, but he of course doesn't. If he did, he would have answered these twenty-five questions.

(8) Al-Mukhtar believes Jews cannot be as critical of Zionism as non-Jews. Bullshit! We are more critical of Zionism.

(9) Daryl Bradford Smith says that thirteen families control the entire Federal Reserve System. Really, Daryl? How about some proof?

(10) Daryl Bradford Smith once again quotes Prof. McGowan on the issue of apartheid in Israel. And yet Arabs voted in Israel two days ago, didn't they? When did blacks vote in South Africa?

(11) Al-Mukhtar takes issue with Israel being called the only democracy in the Middle East. (He further claims that Israel's government is based on minority rules -- Jews outnumber Arabs 5 to 1 in Israel.) But what other country besides Israel has an Arab population of greater than 15 percent where they can vote -- and did vote two days ago?

(12) Daryl Bradford Smith calls Jack Straw a "Zionist Jew." He isn't Jewish. I have no idea whether he is a Zionist. edit: actually he was born a Jew, and claims to have disavowed the religion.

(13) Al-Mukhtar claims that the U.N. declaration that "Zionism is racism" was not motivated by Arabs or Muslims but by facts. Well, not quite: Arabs and Muslims, controlling the oil supply, were able to strong-arm many countries who relied on their oil to vote for the resolution. Furthermore, they were able to convince many newly independent countries in Africa and elsewhere that Israel was a colonial entity. Israel isn't a colonial entity any more than the United States is, but that doesn't make it racist.
