Host: Daryl Bradford Smith
Guest: The coward Eric Hufschmid [1]
Kind of a boring show today, but here are today's lies, misstatements, disinformation, and stupidity:
(1) Eric Hufschmid comes on and complains about American greediness. Within two minutes, he's screaming as per usual.
(2) Daryl Bradford Smith derides Hollywood for the movies of 2005, specifically Brokeback Mountain and Trans-America, which he says is indicative of a "sickness" in society. And yet he claims not to be homophobic.
(3) Daryl Bradford Smith and Eric Hufschmid claim that Israelis are making the roadside bombs being used by the insurgents in Iraq, but they offer not a shred of evidence.
(4) Daryl Bradford Smith claims that AIPAC has been caught spying on the U.S. "hundreds of times." (He also believes the JDL is a sub-organization of B'nai Brith.) While the ADL has, in fact, been caught spying on individual citizens and punished for it, there has been only one case of AIPAC espionage, and it has yet to be proved.
(5) Eric Hufschmid goes on about "Diamonds are a girl's best friend," which he calls a "slogan." It's just a song, Eric, and it was written for the Marilyn Monroe movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. In the absence of some evidence that de Beers or someone similar influenced the writing of a song, I can't accept that it was a "slogan" first and foremost.
