Book II: Domus

For the first six months after the tower rescue Philip served as Jasons Guardian but quickly became torn between his love for the twenty-year-old Legatio as a would be father and that of his love for Jason as a soul-mate. Given the long history of failed relationships between Centurions and Legatio, Philip gives up most hope of ever having Jason as a lover until he almost looses the young man to a deadly fever.

Book III: The Academy

Using his own blood and anima to help Jason recover Philip commits himself to bonding with Jason soon after it is clear that the young Legatio will survive. Jason, already deeply in love with the man he owed his life to, becomes the first Legatio in the Domus Empires history to give his anima bond to a Centurion. The physical act of giving each other their anima is a confession of unbreakable love that binds the two men together and transforms them into the Angel and Demon of legend.

Book IV: Angels and Demons

Even while both men love each other more than any other Philip is a notorious lecher, feeling as a Centurion, he has the duty and the right to sleep with as many people as he wants. While Jason himself has his own circle of lovers he doesnt compare to the lusting doggedness that Philip has for pursuing other men. Where Jason sees sex as an act of love Philip views it as a gateway to pleasure and his sworn duty as a Centurion officer to take care of his men through sex. How deep of a rift these conflicting viewpoints have made between the two lovers has yet to be seen.
