The guide to easy play
This is a basic guide designed to help new players find their way around RA. We hope this will make life easy and suggestions are always welcome. If you follow the steps you will be playing in no time. Please ask any of the STs if you need help with anything, thats what we are here for.
Avy - aka Avril is responsible for Vampire, Dhampirs, Ghouls, Sorcerer and Mortals. Can deal with Wiki problems and questions.
Medea - aka Caity is responsible for Vampire, Dhampirs, Ghouls, Sorcerer Mortals and Shifter. She also handles XP on the Forums and is the head of Wiki Tech.
Dani`ooc - aka Dani is responsible for Vampire and Shifter. She is also Tech support and deals with the Bot XP and Forums.
Step 1 Know the game
Read The following section, it will help you understand everything from setting to how we handle XP.
Required Reading
Setting Info - A history of the city (San Francisco) and the vampire inhabitants, What has happened in the past to day.
City Information - Who's territories are where, It lists what belongs to the factions and information on some of our set RP channels.
Our House Rules - We've changed some things up a little. It is a good idea to read this before you make your charecter and se do add to it as things change and arise, so refer to it on occasion.
Experience All you Need To Know - The how much it costs, how you earn it, and why you care about it thing.
Bot Commands - What you need to know about respectfully interacting with Rosie. Rosie is the Channel Bot and offers many function to help make gaming easier for you. She is also responsible for logging XP so it is very important to understand.
Step 2 Getting approved
Character Creation can be daunting but we have very easy step by step guides. We allow Vampires, Dhampirs, Ghouls, Mortals, Sorcerers and certain Shifters of the Changing Breeds. We do suggest players have a knowledge of the game your character type comes form, but we can help point you in the right direction. Some Species such as the Changing Breeds for shifter requires mandatory reading before we will let you play such as The Players Guide to the Changing Breeds. If you are wanting a Vampire this is a link for the Core book Vampire the Masquerade revised edition its AWESOME http://vtm-core.hit.bg/index.html The books Sorcerer Revised provides everything you need to know about sorcery, Time of Thin Bloods provides info on Dhampirs and Thin Bloods and Ghouls, Fatal Addiction provides all you need to know about ghouls. We the STs can send you all said books in a pdf format as well as the more specialized books such as the Breed books or Clan books ect...
If you go back to main menu Rose and Apple, game info and scroll down to the species specific sections you will find links to the character creation sections. This will provide every step you need to know about writing a character for this game. On the main Menu the section marked Reference will provide you will extra details you may have missed.
Most important if you require help then don't hesitate to ask.
Questions. - This is a List of questions that you might like to read through to help you flesh out you character and backgrounds.

Step 3 Post approval and the little things
Post character approval. Once you character has been given the thumbs up you are free to start rping as soon as you want. However there are a few things you need to make sure are done.
1.Your Character need to be entered on to the Bot Rosie for XP purposes, so make sure you get hold of Dani (Dani`ooc) and give her the Nick you will be using for the character including any punctuation (for example Dani`ooc or Dani^ooc). It is important you use this exact nick every time as if it differs the Bot wont recognize you in play to log your XP. If you cant get hold of Dani for some reason ask for help.
2.Join the forums on http://rose-and-apple.forumtwilight.com/index.htm We use the forums a lot as a tool to aide rping, for eexample The Rose and Apple or Elysium notice boards, News reports or what is being spread through word of mouth on the streets. The STs use it for announcements and such.
3.Next step is your characters voice mail or email, this is a IC way for other players characters to leave messages for your characters while you are not online. If you have any technical difficulty or aren't sure how to do it please ask and we will help.
4.Make sure you and your new characters get entered on the player records in the forums. This is used for logging your XP spends and any Items or wealth your character gain throughout the game. These record sections are personal and only you and the STs can access them. Medea (Caity) deals with this.
5.Last of all the Cast of Characters, select the category your character will be part of and make yourself a page. If you have a character picture awesome. This page is yours and you can put anything on it to do with you character, you can make is as detailed or a sparse as you like. Again if you are not sure please ask and we will help.
TEMPLATE FOR YOUR CHARACTER PAGE if you go here and copy/paste when you select the edit icon in the top right hand section of the wiki page you will have a very good and easy to use skeleton for your page. Sasha Ried, Collective head. NPC or Meira is an example of the detail you can go into.
To Edit the picture so you can upload your own all you have to do is the following:
