About Prilosec OTC

Prilosec OTC is a medication used for long-term heartburn problems or acid reflux. Each treatment lasts 14 days. Prilosec is available over the counter after many years of being available by prescription only.

Prilosec gives you heartburn relief for 24 hours, so you don't have to keep chewing antacid tablets after every meal. Prilosec can also ease some gastrointestinal flare-ups when you take the full 14-day treatment.

This drug works by shutting down the stomach acid pumps. It is a very popular medication, and you can get it at a discount when you use Prilosec coupons.

Prilosec Coupons

There are ample opportunities for consumers to save money with Prilosec coupons. Start by going to the Prilosec website: www.prilosecotc.com. Look for a tab that says "Promotions and Coupons."

Since the promotions and coupons area does change from time to time, here are a few places online you can find Prilosec coupons:

Proctor & Gamble eSaver

To start saving money at eSaver, you must first register. While registering you will be asked to give your shopper's card (loyalty card, reward card) from your grocery store. Scroll through the many coupons available through Proctor & Gamble, the manufacturer for Prilosec OTC.

Once you find the Prilosec coupon, click the button to have it uploaded to your shopper's card. It is not necessary to print the Prilosec coupon. When you purchase the product with your shopper's card at a local grocery store, it will automatically give you the appropriate discount. This saves paper, time and money! And, you never have to worry about forgetting your coupons at home.

Proctor & Gamble Brand Sampler

This website allows you to sign up for samples of Prilosec OTC and other popular Proctor & Gamble products. You can have samples delivered to your home or office. Registering here also gives you additional opportunities to print valuable Prilosec coupons. You will also automatically be registered to win weekly sweepstakes drawings and receive informational newsletters from Proctor & Gamble about their many popular products, including Prilosec OTC.

Proctor & Gamble Brand Saver

Every month a Proctor & Gamble coupon book is available in most major Sunday newspapers. This typically comes out the first Sunday of the month. To find a participating newspaper near you, click the link above and submit your ZIP code.

Manufacturer's coupons can be used in almost any store, even discount chains.

Some major metropolitan newspapers cater to coupon savers by offering their early edition and late edition bundled together and sold at a discounted price. This means twice the manufacturers' coupons for a great price.

CVS Pharmacy

CVS Pharmacy publishes a weekly circular with sales that begin on Sunday. CVS is popular for their ExtraBucks program. ExtraBucks are coupons given to customers when they purchase specific products listed in the circular. These ExtraBucks can be used toward anything in the store, except a few items such as alcohol, stamps, cigarettes and gift cards. (See CVS.com for more exclusions.) To receive ExtraBucks, you must register for a shopper's card.

CVS frequently offers ExtraBucks on Prilosec OTC, sometimes as much as $5 in ExtraBucks, depending on the package size. You can still use manufacturer's coupons when you purchase a product that yields ExtraBucks, and you can use coupons in conjunction with ExtraBucks to get free items throughout the store.

Because you must use a CVS Pharmacy shopper's card to receive ExtraBucks, there are frequently limits on how many times you can receive a deal during any given week.

Walgreen's

Like CVS, Walgreen's publishes a weekly circular detailing their in-store specials beginning each Sunday. Many times these circulars include Walgreen's store coupons. Because these are "store coupons," you can use them in conjunction with manufacturer's coupons. It is not possible to use two manufacturer's coupons toward one product. However, if you have a $5 off in-store Prilosec coupon and a $3 off Prilosec manufacturer's coupon, imagine how much you will save.

Walgreen's also has a Register Rewards program, which is similar to CVS' ExtraBucks program, but no registration (or card) is necessary. Therefore, if a $5 Register Reward is available on Prilosec, you can go back to the store as many times as you'd like to receive the same deal as long as the merchandise is in stock. Register Rewards expire much sooner than ExtraBucks, so don't forget you have them in your wallet or purse.
