Ruby Summers

History

Ruby Summers is the daughter of Emma Frost and Scott Summers. Ruby was captured by Apocalypse's troops and sent to the breeding pens when she was still a child. She grew up in the horrible pens, and escaped when her latent powers developed. She knew who her parents were but did not know how to find them.

Ruby was later recaptured. She hadn't changed out of her crystalline form for 5 years and looked perpetually 21. During the time she was under Apoclaypse's control she was used as a focusing crystal to extend and increase the powers of his horsemen. She was freed by a young Whitney.

Like most, her major enemies are Apocalypse and Darkseid.

Invulnerable Ruby Form: Unearthly. Ruby generally stays in this form. She hasn't changed out of it in decades. Prevents visible aging. Possesses the ability to transform her body into a flexible organic ruby form. In many ways, this is similar to Colossus' organic steel form. She must transform all parts of her body, rather than selectively transforming certain areas. If she is rendered unconscious, her body will automatically transform into its normal state.

• Superhuman Strength: Incredible. In her ruby form, her physical strength is increased to superhuman levels. At her peak, she is able to lift approximately 2 tons.
  
• Superhuman Stamina: Incredible. While transformed, her muscle tissue becomes infinitely more efficient than the organic musculature of normal humans, or most other organic beings for that matter. Her muscles produce almost no fatigue toxins during physical activity, granting her almost limitless superhuman stamina, or at least until or unless she is forced to resume her normal state.
  
• Superhuman Durability: Monstrous. Her ruby form renders her highly resistant to most forms of physical injury (monstrous). She is able to resist great impact forces, such as being repeatedly struck with superhuman force, without being injured. Her body is also resistant to temperature extremes, able to withstand temperatures as cold as -320 degrees Farenheit or as hot as approximately 7,362 degrees Farenheit before her form begins to melt. She is also self contained while transformed, requiring no food, water or oxygen.
  
  

Optic Blasts: resistant to the effects of her own powers and those of her father and uncle. Appears as a black and red bolt of energy from her eyes. Can create precise or wide-beam concussive blasts of up to Incredible damage.
