The importance of having a coach is universal in sport. So too with learning. You can have a coach by many names - tutor, teacher, guide, mentor, lecturer, instructor, trainer, consultant, director, advisor, friend. When it comes to learning something, remember that others have been on that path before you. So try and find someone who is enthusiastic about your area of learning and your goal. Then ASK them for help and advice. It's amazing just how willing people are to help other people. Also, if someone asks YOU for help and advice, don't be shy of helping them.
