(1) Daryl Bradford Smith says the Talmud comes from the Babylonian Exile, which it does not. Technically, this is true (the Talmud is an AD work compiled somewhere between the Diaspora and the first millenium), however, it has been strongly suggested that the Oral Law itself is an earlier invention during the Babylonian exile, (originally suggested by secular sources who also contended that the Torah itself was the invention of Ezra, many Christians, while obvioussly dissagreeing with the later have generally taken to the former, I have yet to do a cross examination of Talmud with Babylonian mythology to prove this, but some good parrallels are to be found in Karaite texts).
