Holy Crap!!!

What the fuck is up with that "honeypot" thing!?!? Is that my IP Address!?!? I am seriously creeped out!!! O_O--Metropolisforever 15:03, 7 April 2007 (EDT)

Spammers often use bots to troll the internet, harvesting email addresses. The honepot code on BluWiki is a trap, used to decrease their effectiveness. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honeypot_(computing)#E-mail_trap for more info.

The Honey Pot Just Takes Your Ip Adddress and Places it in the Email Field, and Also Places a Time Stamp... thers nothing to worry about

By the way... the people on the Japanese Wikipedia are some of the creepiest people you will EVER see!!! They somehow know I speak English as my native language, I live in [blank], and they even know my Internet Service Provider!!! Just to name a FEW of the things they somehow know!!! IRC Channel

So I've been thinking, maybe an IRC channel for BluWikians to chat with each other? Of course it depends on how many of us use IRC. � Nathan ^(talk) 20:45, 2 October 2007 (EDT)

I sort of use IRC, though Ive spurned it for the the more "convenient" Instant messaging/email. Another things is too, don't forget time zone differences, I'm only really online at this time of the day if i can get access to a computer on my lunch/tea breaks. Also I like the idea of having archives of past decisions and conversations through the talk pages, and would only use email/IRC for potentially 'private' discussions on policy. --KaiAdin 20:51, 2 October 2007 (EDT)
