Purpose
MediaWiki already includes a wiki markup form for creating definition list items; however, it is "vanilla", a straight implementation of the HTML version. {{def}} improves on this by bulletting and bolding each item.
Obviously, this markup can be used for things which are, strictly speaking, not definitions.

Usage
{{def|item|definition}}
Each appearance of this template will be preceeded by a bullet ("•"). The parameter item will be bolded; the parameter definition will be placed on the next line and indented. Both parameters are required.
