[edit] Overseas travelling comment

About a week after Aran, the creator of The Amazing Race Singapore, has announced that a special episode The Amazing Race Singapore 5: Racers Revealed will be released, an anonymous blogger rumoured that "...the amazing race singapore will exit asia for the first time, and could possibly go to america". However, the fans of The Amazing Race Singapore quickly gave a negative response to this comment, claiming that The Amazing Race Singapore series will only travel within Singapore due to the negative criticism of the Malaysian leg of Season 2. Despite the fans negative views, the release of the special episode proved that this season of The Amazing Race Singapore will travel overseas and will have a leg in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with Aran promising that this overseas leg will be much better than the Malaysian leg in Season 2. Still, fans are not sure that going to America is a good idea.

In May, Aran had express some interest of visiting other countries other than Thailand. The other countries include Tioman Island, Malaysia; a couple of towns in northeastern United States; France and Ireland. With this comment, fans were shocked at this announcement. Some of the fans even commented on this, saying that a major city must be visited if the Race visited the US.

In a leaked e-mail to Sam on June 19th, Aran stated that the plans for TARS5 would only include Singapore and Chiang Mai.
