Thraxis

Thraxis was a powerful ice devil who made his home on a frozen mountain on the Cusp. He holds a heated rivalry with Lepida, Lady of the Wilderness, though no one is sure of the cause or nature of this feud. In pursuit of this goal, he forged several contracts with Ghaleon Ebonheart, Malcolm, and Soirse. In exchange for making Lepida lower the barrier that prevented his incursion into the Wilderness, Thraxis offered the adventurers passage back to their homeland on Primus. They accepted the deal, but later worked to circumvent the contract. Another more clandestine contract was developed between Thraxis and Ghaleon to provide the latter with the location of the ancient sword Draconis. In exchange, Ghaleon brought him a mystical ring from the corpse of Vivec.

He proved both ally and adversary to the adventurers, as he later exchanged information on the Shadow Veil for the capture of Rocky Flint, Malcolm's companion and Ogrimmach's servant. He still resides on the Cusp, likely building his forces for an unknowable and unspeakably evil campaign. After his failed attempt to steal the essence of Vivec, Malcolm is believed to have fled to Thraxis' fortress and pledged himself to his service.
