From BluWiki
I am Duncan Dewar (aka Nerdvana, Rathess and/or PierceOfAmber on the internet for years). I am a computer technician by profession, parent and teacher by nature and a roleplaying gamer by choice. I intend to use some space here on BluWiki to host information about a roleplaying game I am preparing to run. I am located in Thonotosassa, Florida.

Nerdvana's BluWiki Pages
Information Pages
Main pages only, subpages are listed in the categories. They are listed in order of creation.
- Creation Et All - A Wiki that will be a collection of notes and information about and for a game of Exalted (which is on permanent hiatus at this time). I could explain it more here, but what's the point - its explained there. For a list of all of the articles in the Wiki (as they are subpages) check out the category link below.
- Stellar Journeys - A Wiki that will be a collection of notes and information about a game universe (and house rules also) for a space game using the GURPS 4th Edition rules set. For a list of all of the articles in the Wiki check out the category link below.

Nerdvana's Interests
Roleplaying Games
I have been a roleplayer since 1983 when my maternal grandmother gave me the basic and expert D&D boxed sets. It has been an obsession of mine ever since.
I am currently playing in an Aberrant game and running an Exalted game.

Parenting
I am the father of three (a boy and two girls) and am constantly amazed at what benefit a parent gains from their children - I never knew how much of a two-way street it was until I began travelling it.
Computers
Professionally
I have been a computer technician of one sort or another for more than a decade. While I was in college (at USF) I began working in the computer labs. At the time I was a Geology (or Theater, depending on the timing) student. After graduating with a degree I knew I didn't want to really work in the field of, I got a job as a level one technician and customer service representative with Sprint Internet Passport (Sprints abortive attempt to be a direct-to-the-customer internet provider) and then I got the job I am still at now in 1996 providing technical support for a major accounting company.
Microsoft Office
My specialty with computers is software support, but I truly love working with Microsoft Office - particularly Word and Excel. I am passable with Power Point and know enough to pretend to do Access - I want to learn more about doing databases however.
Web Design
I began playing with HTML in 1996 and I have a few passable pages. I also love Wikis. I am not good enough with either to do anything professionally, but I do enjoy them.
Discussion Groups
I enjoy a few forums, some have faded from my interest over the years, but I almost always am involved in one or another. As I think to I may list them here.
Science Fiction and Fantasy
I am an avid fan of science fiction and fantasy. I may, at some point, begin listing those books I have read here (or elsewhere) to help me track all of it.
Web Based Help Files
- MediaWiki's User's Guide is a big help for working with the MediaWiki interface (which BluWiki uses!)
