The Official flag of the Republic

Located in the North-northwestern Region of the Prime Universe lies the mult-planet world of the Direan Republic. It is one of the fastest growing interplanetary nations ever to exist. The natives of this world evolved through Atlantian technology from their lesser-intelligent ancestors in the past.

Though revival and enhancement from Atlantians and the self-evolution they have gone through themselves, they are now a civilization composed of large, musclebound wolves that dominate the stars within their homeworld. Notably the Direans are in hostile conflict with the Atlantians for merely over thousands of years because of their abandonment from them during the First Dragon War.

While there are in a two-sided relationship with the Alliance and moderation relations with other worlds the Direan Culture has known to be the strong arm of the universe.

History

Creation of the Dire Superwolf

Thousands of years ago the great Altantian Empire on Earth was on the verge of technological superiority and magical apexes. The previous king tries to secure the continent from forces from the outside world from intruders that will want to take on their secrets. So they have send out scouts to search for the most toughest animal the mainlanders have roaming around. Lions were too aggressive and various species were were to developed to work on them even with their technology because they needed a species to be created in one shot.

That was until they have found the perfect fierce species they can find. Problem was that this species was long extinct: The Dire Wolf. They have extracted a few from the tar pits and have brought them back to the laboratories to reconstruct them into monstrously muscled guard dogs. For a number of years they have been used in various tasks other than securing the island such as a riding convenience, fighting dogs and even helped in farming in large scales.

Growth in Awareness

The superwolf's brain capacity is larger to their original counterparts and more compressed to them as well. As the years passed they have grown smarter while being obedient to their masters even to the point where they have suspected of developing their own conciousness and language under the Atlantian tongue.

Dire Wolves and the First Dragon War

A few of the superwolves were used in the first bases of the war but were easily overpowered against the dragons for the Council who were merciless at the time. By then they knew the dire wolves were too valuable to loose and so they were part of the first noah exodus to leave Earth with the atlantians to a new world.

During the exodus, the king at the time determined that these wolves were considered obsolete in the shadow of developing defenses and technologies. Many Atlantians protested but were overpowered leaving little to no choice but to leave them behind on a distant world. Some Atlantians are aware of their intelligence and decided to leave technologies and supplies to help them survive.

The Long Struggle

Many of these packs have started to form and started to fight against one another others used the Atlantian technology to better improve themselves up to the point as to alter thier own bodies to become more humanoid like their former masters have.

The Twin Moons Clan

No longer able to stand for the fighting between the packs the Twin Moons clan were the first to stand up against even the most powerful the Thunder Rails who claim to be destined to rule over the unknown planet. But they have overpowered them proven that their will to fight is stronger than their brawn.

One by one the pack clans united under the guide of the Twin Moons and soon joined to "evolve" becoming the bipedal Direan Race that they are today with the Twin Moons now the founding clan of the nation.

The Founders of the Republic

Three wolves resembling the three breeds came upon the tallest peak of the Isatari Mountains over the massive crowd they were the three founders of the Republic as they talk in their new native language of Varian they talked upon the strength to overcome the hardships and abandonment have transformed them into a powerful race united from the three breeds.

Atheos was a White furred Great Direan Wolf noted for his wisdom and superior leadership. Ethangrad former second-in-command of the fallen Thunder Rails clan and now leader of the Titan Direan foundation for strength, protection, and order. and Atheo's mate Chezalie, a Verian Direan wolf known for her nobility and care. These three were the historical point where they all howled in unison under the two moons signaling their voice as one.

The Development of the World

They were in a period of trial and error as they adapted what they learned from their former masters and applied that to their own use. Mining became one of the strong suits as they used minerals for everyday needs. Their scientific curiosity soon didn't come far behind. Over the centuries they have grown to become the strong militaristic and scientific culture they are known toe be.

The Pack Superiority Wars

Past aggressions from the packs of the past are back on the rise again but the more stronger groups are trying for domination and the overthrow of the current monarchy considering them to be "weak" among the original Twin Moons pack. There are still strong members among the original pack tens of thousands of years ago now into the Kinsa family rule. Two interbreed rulers Garunth Kinsa; A warrior titan and his queen and consort Aurlenanth who is a Great Direan. Both know that packs as nature intends they should be will not work anymore and will possibly lead to the destruction of the planet.

King Garunth sadly died in his efforts to completely stop the wars raging between the packs but his wife now succeeds in the affairs in a now diminished setting. In the last twenty years since now becoming Queen Alpha she has successfully taken down nearly every aggressive pack and clan under a new "united pack".

Contact with the Atlantians

Good welcomes and bad memories are flooded back in when the Atlantians now on New Atlantis some feeling the sting of the abandonment caused by their king while others seek reconciliation for their actions. The Solterran Government stepped in because the contact couldn't have come at a worse time. They acted as the mediators between the two and though the talks have been on rough with some members Kinsa was the only one who was willing to forgive them for their actions.

However, as a snap to reality to the King of New Atlantis. The Queen Alpha showed how well their own former and "obsolete" technology that was given to them help made them the powerful race they take pride upon. And they could have had all the new technologies which compared to Altantian tech is one step more advanced would have been theirs if they haven't toss them aside but still forgave them.

Solterra though known about the speech made by Queen Alpha Kinsa knows this and during the presidency they have offered trade agreements with them exclusively to Prime Earth only for the time being.

Advancement

The Republic-Solterran agreement marked the beginning in a series of advancements for the people ranging from introduction of new media such as news, telecommunication, movies, etc. Medical exchanges which the Direans won for improving macrosurgery techniques that are adopted and still used by Solterran surgeons today.

Spacebound

Space was a major leap for the Direan Race when space science was introduced and soon their efforts were consumed into the making of space-faring crafts and rocketry. So far they mastered a way to create forces on a "fleet-oriented" formation until they find a way to create starships that can accommodate their massive physique.

Border Expansion

Without interference the Republic now space-ready has set out to new world for the purposes of mining for resources and possible future colonization. In the last few decades they have acquired new worlds the further expanded their borders to their might. In the later future to other universes.

The Republic Today

Still under the rule of Kinsa and its people lead by a council of High Lords the Direan Republic while it's people remained strong though adaptation and survival. They are an interdependent industrial and heavily environmental species with tradition mixed with modern methods made by the people whose ancestors gave creation to.

Economy

The Direan race have no serious sense of the use of money but are based on a free-share and barter system during interplanetary trade. The use of sapphire opal discs have been known to use the first and still usable form of currency known. With no money market to determine the value of the discs, their currency (domestically) is virtually immune to inflation and deflation.

The work force in the republic has been steadfast and ever continuing as many of the populace take pride in doing jobs where their naturally massive muscles can get the most work. Jobs involving building massive projects, construction work and various heavy lifting jobs.

Sociology

All in the republic are separated in three main species and one interbred. All share a strong sense of traditionalism as what their breed does while interbred adapts to any one of the three as per their choice. But they are free however to defy their natural roles and take on others as well.

Social Life

Direan society is different to most alien worlds as they're resilient to most environments along with the ability to live off the lands they roam through. In the thick forests males usually take the role of the hunter or the female in a more aggressive manner. Those living in modern cities take advantage of the conveniences that are given to them but still don't let go of their nature. The female of all three species are strongest and powerful when caring for their young or at times when they are aggressive. The three breeds interact peacefully without any signs of prejudice except of in cases of showing off strength and dominance.

Since the foundation the three breeds have traditionally have kept roles on what each of them do. Verian wolves are known as the balance point and mediators between brains and brawn and their nobility knows no bounds. Great Direan wolves are the leaders, guiders and source of wisdom to guide the Verians and Titans which their role is that they are the defenders, protectors and foundation builders. Without them the republic remains unbuilt and defenseless.

Direan Youth

Direan cubs mostly enjoy rough play and it's nothing to them to those who have reached their puberty year. That is the time where like humans go though certain changes the most significant is the natural muscle growth. Most of them are aggressive and wanting to show who is the biggest against those who haven't reach that time yet. It's no surprise that the youth would start training when it isn't nessesary but they prefer to go for it in preparation in their later years.

Education

The youth of the nation go through a very thorough learning process where it talks about significant history of the race and basic skills. Reason for this by earth standards the Direan intelligence level is three times greater of that than humans and is needed to be focused more than their naturally bulking bodies.

Physical education is most rigorous where the young cubs are learned to train at levels powerbuilders go through. A known game called slamball is a combination of dodgeball and football except played with brute force and a 500-lb ball.

Government Structure

The republic is a monarchy that has the subjects share the benefits of a democracy what makes their government unique to constitutional monarchies and other governments where kings, emperors and other high state officials are figureheads. The royal family are active and execute the final word above the other elected officials.

Chain of command in the Direan Republic goes from top-highest to bottom-lowest:

• Alpha Royalty and Family Members
  • Main controlling body of the nation handles domestic and international issues and has the final word above all else.

• High Lords and Mistresses
  • Elected officials by the masses and absolute rulers of each planet dominion. Can pass laws that interact with other planets within its borders or even agree to take on international agreements with or without the royalty's permission.

• The Chief Betas
  • Sectional leaders of various provinces, oversights and handels the affairs of the local populace.

Military

The Direan military forces have the hardest training sessions in the Prime Universe, the population of the forces are composed of 80 percent Titan Direans that go through basic training processes ranging from environment trials to high gravity weightlifting where soldiers are needed to train with a thousand tons of mass in gravity ranges over fifty g's and up.

Heavy use of ballistic and hand held weapons is the characteristic to each Direan soldier the weight of such weapons range from 40 pounds to a full ton with the recoil of a battleship cannon. The main function of the Direan Military is for the domestic and external defense of each planet if called upon by the High Lords or the Queen Alpha.

History Today

Discovery of Origin

In a remarkable turn of events ever since the contact with the Atlantians and the rest of the Solterran Alliance that a piece of forgotten history when they know that they were formally a species that became extinct thousands of years ago. There were many objections but some who where wondering of their true home including the members of the Royal Family themselves.

In response a few Direans actually took a chance to come back to their true homeworld while many stayed behind knowing their adopted world is theirs while showing a range of feelings from acknowledgment to fear of the old world.

International Relations

There has been trade and travel relations with the Republic to the affairs with the Alliance, Neocasidian Dominion and Aphkei in minimal aspects. The exchange of cultures helped the republic modernize themselves further while keeping steadfast in their traditions which kept them strong for tens of thousands of years.
